According to an online comparison website, the iPhone 5 has proved to be Britain’s favorite Smartphone by overtaking the Samsung Galaxy S3.

The Apple iPhone 5 took the top position in just six months of its sale, in March, according to a popular website.

The Galaxy S, which was the UK’s most favorite and top handset for ten months, fell to the third place while the Samsung Galaxy S4, which was unveiled on March 14, is at the second place.

The Galaxy range of Samsung still dominates the list, by taking over four positions in Top 10, which is taken over by the searches, pre-orders and sales taken place through online.

The company reported that the iPhone 5 handsets were sold through their website four times more than the Galaxy S3 handsets.

The Apple handsets dominated the list by taking over the three positions in March.

However, the Sony Xperia Z which was the second most popular handset in February slipped two places downwards.

The HTC One handset which went on sale in the last month, took the fifth position in the list.

The telecoms expert Mr. Doku, however, reported that there will be changes in the list as Blackberry is trying to attract the sales with their Q10 model and there would be even the entry of the Galaxy S4.
